THE REAPING

"Welcome, welcome!" Said the announcer. He stood smiling, "Rebel Chace?" He called, he was a bit annoyed she hand come up on stage yet. But, he had to keep up his smile. "Rebel..?" He called again, a bit more loudly.

Rebel entered the town with Thomas. She heard her name and ran on the stage, smiling. She went towards the mic. "My name is Rebel Chace. And I'm not losing!" She said happily. Rebel knew this was a lie, she would die for Thomas.

The man clapped happily, at Rebel's excitement. He pulled out a boys name. "Carlos Darwen." He said clearly. Apparently, he hadn't heard Thomas volunteer.. Yet.

Thomas looked at Carlos. the kid needed to work to keep his family alive, and he knew it. his dad did fine as the baker. thomas knew he was expendable. "I VOLUNTEER MYSELF AS TRIBUTE" he walked on stage.

The man blinked, shocked someone already volunteered. "CONGRAGULATIONS!" He said loudly, this Hunger Games stuff made him happy. It was all reality TV to him. "What's your name, sir?" He asked.

Rebel kept up her smile, and grabbed his hand, as he walked onto the stage. She made sure everyone saw.

thomas gulped as he looked at, not the announcer, but Rebel. "Thomas Ellis."

The man smiled. "Lovers, I see." He said, just guessing. "Thks will be lovely!" He exclaimed.

Rebel moved loser to him, as if confirming the Man's guess.

Thomas blushed right down to his adam's apple. he dreaded being the first male tribute to the first annual hunger games. yet somehow, being with Rebel made it worthwhile.

He looked at Rebel, and hugged her. while he hugged her, the audience cheered loudly, loud enough for him to say, "I'm scared spitless here."

Thomas pretended to listen intently, then whipered in her ear in turn. however, he couldn'y think of anything to say, but where this came from he didn't know.

"you remind me of the new leaf of the tree,

Sent by the Spring to say good morning to me.

I look at the sky with the sun in the air,

but till i met you had yet to see more fair.

I..." He stopped, and buried his head in his hands, embarrased.

Rebel was speechless. She was touched that he would say that. Rebel went by instinct, and shifted back a bit. Then she missed him.. On the lips. It was hesitant, but Rebel felt like she would have done it anyway, even if she weren't in front of everyone. It amused her how no one else knew, the reason of the kiss.

Booyah! and the crowd went wild! thomas was surprised by the kiss. it certainly wasn't on his top 10 list of things to expect(getting Reaped was actually number 5). Thomas surprised himself some more by returning the kiss.

Rebel kissed him back some more, happy about the crowd. She pulled back, but winked at him. It was best she kept up an extra flirty attitude near the crowd.

"Well, well! I was correct!" The man said, when the shouts died down.

OOC: They can enter the Justice Building.. But would have to wait there, for a bit. Then, they wouldn't be able to leave the train, once they board it, until everyone else is there.

OOC ok, so is there a topic for that?

OOC: I would make one for the Justice Building.. And the one for the Train when we get there.

OOC- You take care of that.

OOC: Do you want them to stay on stage for the moment. Or go inside the Justice building?

Thomas wlked off the stage with Rebel toward the Justice building.
